„CINEMA STORIES ON THEATRE STREET“

Saturday, July 25 · 12:00–21:00Turgaus g.
„CINEMA STORIES ON THEATRE STREET“. Theatre Street returns to the Sea Festival. This year it is especially abundant - three stages with different street theatre performances, interactive installations, theatrical interpretations of cinema history, and, of course, memorable moments. STAGE I – SILENT CINEMA. Pantomime theatre „A“ will reflect the origins of cinema – silent film. The acting style of legendary creator Charlie Chaplin, plots that leave no one indifferent, and the beginnings of the film industry will come to life on stage. Performance times: 13.00, 15.00, 17.00, 19.00. STAGE II. HISTORICAL – COSTUME CINEMA. The LA.TE. theatre troupe will present a performance on the theme of historical-costume cinema. Dramatic relationships, impressive fight scenes, heroic characters, and unexpected turns on the theatrical film set. Performance times: 13.20, 15.20, 17.20, 19.20. STAGE III. CONTEMPORARY CINEMA. Theatre „ARTYN“ invites viewers to engage in an enchanting performance where the city momentarily becomes a film studio and everyday life becomes a script. Observers can expect a live game with cinematic memory, where actors embody cult film lines as if they were spoken for the first time. One moment - black humor, another - subtle drama, a third - absurd dialogue that unexpectedly becomes poetry. Cinema history here is not an exhibit, but the material from which a contemporary performance is born. Performance times: 13.40, 15.40, 17.40, 19.40. INTERACTIVE CINEMA SCENE INSTALLATIONS. In the Cinema Stories on Theatre Street, everyone can become an actor and even perform the most impressive stunts written in gold letters in cinema history. SINGIN' IN THE RAIN (film „Singing in The Rain“). Real rain will pour at the intersection of Turgaus and Tiltų streets, and under hanging umbrellas, everyone can step onto a street lamp and belt out: „I'm singing in the rain...“. MARILYN MONROE GUST. The actress who became a beauty symbol of the early 1960s is inseparable from the iconic scene where her dress is unexpectedly lifted by a gust of wind. A charming crouch while holding the dress and there it is – a stunning scene that leaves no one indifferent today. All today's goddesses will be able to replicate it.
